Description
The Fragrance
J is the sophisticated and proud glance of a geisha. Like a delicate and graceful silk kimono, it expresses the elegance and charm of the Land of the Rising Sun’s thousand-year culture. Its fresh and sparkling top notes of LMR* neroli oil, mandarin, and lime are reminiscent of Japanese creativity, while evoking a basic material element: water. The heart notes—an explosion of cherry blossom, orange flower absolute, and rose bloom—are filled with brightness, gentleness, and elegance. The captivating base notes, a harmony of cashmere wood, rice powder, and musk, recall the depth of traditions. In synergy with the fragrance I, it forms part of an olfactory journey that travels from East to West, defining the CoSTUME NATIONAL identity and marking the crossroads where past and future intersect.
J embodies the timeless beauty and subtle sophistication of Japanese culture, blending delicate florals with soft, musky undertones to create a fragrance that is both serene and captivating. It reflects a harmonious balance of tradition and modernity, evoking the ephemeral beauty of cherry blossoms and the enduring allure of ancient rituals.
The bottle is an iconic design object: its smooth, elegant lines echo the graceful silhouette of a geisha, exuding refinement, tradition, and timeless charm.

Distinctive note
Sakura flower (cherry blossom)
Smell: Floral, delicate
Origin: Celebrated for its ephemeral beauty, the cherry blossom is the symbolic flower of Japan. Hanami, the period when sakura flowers bloom, is the most cherished season in the country. In Japan, cherry blossoms symbolize clouds due to their abundant blooming, creating fluffy clouds on trees. Their fleeting bloom represents the transient nature of life, making cherry blossoms a symbol of mortality and a frequent motif in Japanese art.
Extraction: The raw material is recreated in the laboratory by the perfumer, capturing the delicate and fleeting essence of the cherry blossom.
